They say that time flies when you are having fun so we must be having a great time in The Lord here at The Church At Stampers Creek!
Winter is fast approaching and we are settling in for the cold months. We have recently had several visitors and the opportunity to make contact with many more. Our website has attracted people who have been looking for a New Testament church and they seem to be excited to have found us.
Keep us in your prayers and come by for a visit. We would love to have you!
Pastor Mike
Romans 1:16
My wife Cathy and I, along with Pastor Shay Carpenter and his wife Carol, have the honor of announcing a new grandson!
Kestin Michael Hoover was born July 25th to Kevin & Heidi Hoover of Ettersville, Missouri. He weighed in at a whopping 9 pounds 7 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches in length.
Heidi and Kestin are doing well although Kevin still needs to go a ways to recover. Please keep their family in prayer.
Where does the time go? Our garden is producing all kinds of good, fresh vegetables and my wife and I are in the picking mode. Every day there is something that needs to be harvested and it is up to us to get the job done.
That reminds me of our purpose here at The Church At Stampers Creek. The Bible says: Joh 4:35 "Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest."
Our 1st Annual Fellowship meeting has come to a close and we had an exciting time in The Lord! The preaching was wonderful and the fellowship was out of this world.
Pastor Ben Wharton was used of The Lord as he preached The Word of God. The people of Pickens, South Carolina should thank The Lord that they have a preacher such as him in their area. The 1611 King James Bible was the centerpiece and the worship of The Lord was the message.
Wednesday morning, April 9th, at 7:15, Pastor/Evangelist Eschol Cosby stepped through the doorway of death and into the arms of his Savior Jesus Christ.
Praise The Lord we finally see a break in the weather. We have had more than our share of rain the past few weeks but The Lord always displays His promise in the sky and we know things will be all right.
Gen 9:13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
God always keeps His promises. You can count on that!
It has been a while since I have had the time to write. Things have been very busy here for us and the people of The Church At Stampers Creek.
Can you believe that this year is nearly gone? I think that The Bible describes it best -
"Jas 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away."
We thank The Lord for His goodness and His blessings here at The Church at Stamper's Creek. He has given us a wonderful church family that is filled with believers that are like-minded, faithful, caring, and desirous of pleasing Him with their lives.
I arrived home at 12:30am this morning.
The Lord gave me the opportunity to preach in Union City, Indiana to the people of Cornerstone Baptist Church where Dr. Lloyd Shepherd is Pastor.
I want to send out a special thank you to Pastor Shepherd and his people for their gracious hospitality and warm fellowship while I was there. I look forward to preaching for them next year about this time. (Lord willing)
Grandchild # 12 should arrive any moment! Our youngest son Kaleb and his wife Alesia are expecting their 2nd son and we are anxious for his arrival!
